The Institution Library Classense called Classense Library, is a historic library located in the city of Ravenna.

The name refers to the Abbey of class, in which the volumes were kept in the library of the monks of the Congregation of Camaldolesi era stretching from the seventeenth century until the eighteenth century. From 1803, when the Napoleonic suppression of ecclesiastical property belonging to various religious orders, monks and other religious Camaldolese of abbeys and convents became citizens join their sources library in what became the fledgling Ravenna Public Library, later renamed Classense Library. Founder of the library is considered Peter Reed, abbot of the monastery of Classe, who, between 1704 and 1714, enriched the collection of codes and precious incunabula.
