Rieti is an Italian city of 47,881 inhabitants, capital of the province. Traditionally considered the geographical center of Italy, is located on a fertile plain at the foot of Monte Terminillo.
It is characterized by hot summers and winters, with night temperatures often below zero. The scenic beauty and quiet of the place make it a very livable place and favorite destination for many tourists, especially from nearby Rome.
As well as its province where is the source of Peschiera, which provides much needed water to the municipality of Rome (about 550 million cubic meters per year), Rieti is a town rich in water and its municipal territory are the sources Cottorella.
