City of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola

The Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola (VB) is a province of Piedmont to just over 163 000 inhabitants created in 1992.
Located in the northern region, bordered to the north, west and east of Switzerland (Canton Ticino and Valais) to the east by Lombardy (Province of Varese), on the south by the provinces of Novara and Vercelli.
It is formed by the merger of three geographically distinct: the Verbano Cusio and Ossola, Verbania, Domodossola and Omegna are the main centers of the province.
The Province is the area north-western province of Insubria and the institution is a member of the community of Royal Insubrica.

The province was established to Legislative Decree No. 277 of 30 April 1992 (but made active with the local elections in 1995), for spin-off from the Province of Novara.
Headquartered in the town of Verbania. This is the place where are located the offices of the Presidency, the Secretary-General's Office in the county and provincial council. However, the province has other offices in the town of Domodossola (provincial offices Sectors III and IV), Baveno (service training and employment policies), and Crevoladossola Gravellona Toce.
With regard to government offices, we tried to distribute them evenly in the main towns of the territory: the Police, the Provincial Police Command, Fire Department and the Guardia di Finanza, have their headquarters in the capital, Verbania, the Motor Vehicles and Public Motor Vehicle Registry based in Domodossola, INPS is based in Gravellona Toce, the ASL is based in Omegna. Instead, the Chamber of Commerce offices in Baveno and Domodossola.
