A small rocky cliff of the latter, called Virgolo, stands vertically near the city. The city is connected to the three closest mountains from cable cars that pass each about a thousand meters of altitude: the cable car that climbs the hill up to the hill of Monte Pozza Villa (Herrenkohlern), with the arrival of Renon Soprabolzano and San Genesio reaching the plateau of the same name, country jumping. From the city, looking east along the Inn Valley, not far away and you see the beautiful rose garden (Rosengarten, 3004 m), which is part of the Dolomites, with features Vajolet Towers. Bolzano Talvera is crossed by the stream which flows in the city in the Inn River, which in turn flows nell'Adige few kilometers south of the city itself.
