Town of Vicenza

Vicenza Vicenza (Vicenza in the Veneto Vicens) is a city of 115,550 inhabitants (307,226 inhabitants and the urban belt), in north-eastern capital of the province (862,477 inhabitants) located in the Veneto region.
It is known as the city of Palladio - who designed much of the late Renaissance architecture - and a place among the most important art not only of the Veneto. It is a destination for cultural tourism with visitors from all over Italy and abroad. Constitutes a unique artistic achievement for the many contributions of Andrea Palladio's architecture, the city was incorporated in 1994 as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, which are also the Palladian Villas of Veneto (since 1996).
The city is also an important industrial center and the Italian economy, the heart of a province dotted with small and medium enterprises whose productive, had 2007 third place in Italy in terms of turnover in exports, driven mainly by the metal industry, textiles and jewelry: the latter reaches the capital berico more than a third of total exports of gold, making the Italian capital of Vicenza goldsmith.
