The parrozzo (or panrozzo) is a typical sweet Pescara, associated with the culinary traditions of Christmas (but not only). It is very common in the Abruzzo region, especially in the east.

The parrozzo is made with semolina or, alternatively, the white flour with corn meal or starch, sugar, ground almonds, almond essence, lemon rind and is covered in dark chocolate.

The cake is obtained by mixing the flour, eggs and ground almonds and lemon peel. Pour the mixture into a hemispherical mold and cook in the oven. When cooked, when the cake is cold now, it is covered with dark chocolate melted.
