The malloreddus, also known as Sardinian dumplings, are undoubtedly the most classic Sardinian pasta. They have the form of ribbed shells from about 2 cm long up, and are made of semolina flour and water. They are eaten with various sauces.

In Sassarese are called cigiones or ciciones in Logudoro Macaronesia Macaronesia Caídos or de punzu in Nuoro cravaos.
